Food for Fun: Peanut Butter Trail Mix Cookies

I’m in Europe and they don’t like peanut butter over here. It’s almost impossible to find. So, I can’t make these cookies, but if you’re in the U.S. you can make them in just a few minutes!

My sister and I made these a few weeks ago. Someone gave her a bunch of trail mix that she doesn’t like (crazy, I love trail mix!), so we baked it into cookies.

We used the easiest cookie recipe ever as a base: Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies:

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg

Mix and bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes.

Those cookies are great on their own (and gluten-free, fyi), but I like to add things. Usually chocolate. In large amounts. But like I said, this time we used trail mix with raisins, nuts and seeds, and M&Ms.

  • i used to ship PB to my sister when she lived in france! i don’t understand why their taste buds don’t like THE BEST FOOD ON EARTH.

  • Yeah those look awesome!!!! I’ve never been to Europe, so it’s interesting to hear that they don’t have peanut butter.

  • i think i would die if i didnt have access to pb. when i went to france i packed a stash of it :) and those cookies look so easy (and yummy) that i think even i can handle making them!

It’s so interesting to learn what other countries each and don’t eat. In Australia, they didn’t use ketchup…so sad!

What kind of foods are you enjoying over there that you don’t eat here? I’m sure there are lots.

  • Whooaa those look SO tasty!! I want to try them. :) ! No pb in Europe?! uhhh, what is that about? If I ever go I might just pack some. haha.

hope you’re having a good trip though!

  • Hi, I’m orginally from Canada and moved to the UK when I was 27 (11+ years ago) and I can assure you that they do have peanut butter in the UK. You can buy it at any supermarket.

    I don’t know about mainland europe though…
