Daily Run: Resting Up
Time of Day: 7:45 AM
Weather: Said it was 73*, but felt hotter. Sunny.
Duration: 49 minutes 41 seconds
Distance: 6 miles
Average Pace: 8:17/mile
Notes: Finally my reduced mileage week comes to a close with a short run at a perfect “very easy” pace. Sometimes I enjoy my easy runs, but sometimes I’m bored and want them to be over.
I wanted this one to be over. I feel like I’m getting sick, although perhaps I’m having some new Houston allergy thing. Or just some wussitis. Either way, my throat felt irritated from drippiness (eww) and my head feels achey. I am fatigued, although I got plenty of sleep last night. Running didn’t make me feel worse–in fact I felt better after 3 miles–but I did feel fatigued during my run.
I’m hoping I will feel better tomorrow, although I will be doing my 20-miler either way. I was looking forward to my first 20-miler of this training cycle just a few days ago and feeling ill will not help me enjoy it.
At least I don’t have work today and can rest. I will go to bed early again and do the best I can tomorrow.

Oh man, hope your 20 miler goes well and doesn’t drain you TOO much! Ugh, I hate being sick, especially when I’m training hard.. Good luck, and hopefully it IS just an allergy thing.
Good luck on your 20 miler tomorrow! Sometimes symptoms seem to “pop up” when you have a big run planned. Sometimes that happens to me and I think it is all in my head.
i am such a baby when i am sick — but i think i would plow through my run anyway too
good luck and hopefully resting up the rest of today pays off!
Oh, no! I hope you’re not getting sick!
Enjoy the 20-miler tomorrow…hope all goes well after you get some rest!
I hope you’re not getting sick! I thought I was allergic to Pennsylvania when I first moved here, but then I realized it was the cheapo laundry detergent I was using. Hopefully it’s something simple like that.
Good luck with the 20 miler tomorrow! I hope you feel better!
Good luck with the 20. Get extra sleep.
