Daily Runs: Pretty, Busy, and Strange

Sorry about my lack of blogging yesterday.  I tried to blog during my window of downtime and my blog stopped working until much later.   We’ve had beautiful weather and I’m lucky to be a runner right now.  October is usually my favorite month for Texas weather, unfortunately it is halfway over now and the nice weather has just arrived.

The weather has been gorgeous, but I’ve felt kind of strange.  I think it’s from the flu shot I got on Friday.  Just tired and a little “off.”  I’ve also had a 7 day work week.  They’ve been short days, but it still makes me feel a bit busier.

Saturday

Time of Day: 6:40 AM

Weather: 59*, windy, clear

Duration:  1 hour 6 minutes 8 seconds

Distance: 8 miles

Average Pace: 8:16/mile

Sunday

Time of Day: 7:00 AM

Weather: 53*, brilliantly sunny

Duration:  1 hour 24 minutes 40 seconds

Distance: 10 miles

Average Pace: 8:28/mile

Notes: I was going to go 8 miles today and rest up for my long run tomorrow, but I went far off my route looking for a bathroom.  It was an extremely necessary detour.  By the time I finished, I knew I would be going about 9 miles and that would give me 69 miles for the week.  Why not go 10 miles and do my first 70 mile week ever?  So that’s what I did, making sure to run very slowly so I could still “rest” for tomorrow.  It was beautiful outside and I don’t regret it…yet.
