Food for Fun: Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
No Bittman recipes yesterday. I had my busiest day as a personal trainer to date and therefore not much time to cook. Luckily, I’m still behind on showing you cookie recipes. Here’s some I sent to Dr. Shoelace for sending me my Dyads.
When I saw these cookies on Recipe Girl, I knew I had to try them. She combined three awesome chocolate chip cookie recipes, and I must admit, I’ve actually tried and eaten all three: Alton Brown’s Chewy, the Improved Tollhouse Cookie, and her own Secret Ingredient Cookies. How could I not try a combination of the three!?
Browning butter is a bit of a pain, but the added flavor is worth the effort.

As suspected, these were wonderful. The recipe also made a delightfully large batch and I got to keep some for myself, consumed almost immediately.

Oh man- those cookies look perfect. Yes, Alton Brown has a baking book called I’m Just Here for More Food.
Browning butter takes forever but is usually so worth it. I’m going to try these this weekend!
