Daily Run: Summer Rain

Time of Day: 6:50 AM

Weather: 77*, rain

Duration:  59 minutes 14 seconds

Distance: 7 miles

Average Pace: 8:28/mile

Notes: Today marked the first time since becoming reinjured from fixing my biomechanics that I’ve done three runs in a row.  It was also the first time in awhile that I haven’t been hot on my run.  I’m not one of those people who likes running in the rain, but it doesn’t bother me this time of year as long as it’s not too hard.  That’s the problem here–when it rains it usually comes down in a torrent, blinding you, soaking you, and flooding your path.  Today, however, the rain started lightly and progressed to just a steady drip.  It was refreshing and cooling.

My legs felt decent too.  I wasn’t fast like yesterday, but I didn’t try to push the pace either.  It was a good recovery pace without feeling difficult.

I’m not sure which is better, getting to run three days in a row or not having to do the elliptical today.

Short post because I need to leave for work soon!
