Two Knobby Tires is promoting an eco-friendly, healthy, and active lifestyle by offering a product that encourages reuse and helps to raise awareness about the importance of recycling. Plastic bags and bottles can take 1000 years to decompose, so Two Knobby Tires is proud to sell eco-friendly backpacks made from recycled PET, the dominant material used in plastic bottles. The owners of Two Knobby Tires use the recycled PET backpacks as their biking backpack for running errands, carrying their two year old’s accessories (e.g., diapers, snacks), and going to the library. Click here for more information and pictures.

And…they want you to do the same! Enter to win an eco-friendly backpack like the one above by doing the following:
- Leave a comment on this post telling me one event that you are looking forward to before the end of October.
- For an extra chance to win, link back to this post on your blog (and tell me that you did it).
The winner will be picked randomly and I will announce the winner next Wednesday, October 21st. Make sure you check back on that day to see if you won! Edited to add: The backpack comes in several colors and you can choose his/her favorite.

I’m looking forward to my first 5K since high school in a week and a half! I admit that I signed up for it because the times for the awards in my age group seemed rather doable… My friend and I will be running in bumblebee costumes.
And I’m looking forward to your blog, as always! I continue to love it — especially now the Bittman Challenge!
Chelsea, we have a backpack but have not used it in the rain. I tested it in my kitchen sink. It is somewhat water resistant but not waterproof. The seams allow water to pass through. The fabric deters water but slowly absorbs some too. It should be okay to use in a drizzle because the top of the backpack seals tightly when you put it on.
I am looking forward to a fun-filled Halloween party next weekend! And I am linking back to you from my blog: http://triathena.wordpress.com. I found you through Chelsea.
Awesome!! The thing I’m looking forward to most this month is actually this Saturday – we’re having a Dasher/Splasher bash. Hahah such a hard core sounding name right? Those are both teams I trained with over the summer.. and got to meet some really great ladies (*and 2 and occasionally 3 guys). It’s a party hosted at one of the ladies’ house, and it’ll be a great excuse to just catch up with everyone, eat some good food, have a drink, and relax!
2nd entry: I linked to your giveaway on my blog! http://runroamrecycle.wordpress.com/2009/10/12/first-snowfall-sweet-dreams/

I’m looking forward to my stress fractures healing so I can run again… well, that won’t happen by the end of the month, but the healing will be underway:)
